I would like to share some information with you about homework.
Each student will have an Assignment Pad and a Homework Folder. Homework
is written on the board everyday. Your child is responsible for copying
the assignments into their Assignment Pad. Homework will be the review
and practice of skills taught during the day. In addition, your child
will be expected to read for at least 15 minutes a day. Inside your
child’s homework folder, you will see a Reading Log. Please record
the amount of time that your child read and the name of the book.
I would also like for you to sign the Reading Log every night. Once
your child has finished their homework, please put it into their Home-
work Folder.
On Friday’s, your child will have the following tests: Story Test, Vocabulary
Test, and Spelling Test. Please make sure that your child is prepared
to take these tests. If your child is absent on Friday, he/she will
be expected to make up the Story Test and Vocabulary Test the following
Monday unless other arrangements have been made with me.
