| Teaching Experience BS in Physical Education from Erskine College 1976 M.Ed in Education from University of Georgia 1977 30 hours of Graduate Credit from The Citadel I began teaching Elementary Physical Education in Charleston County in the fall of 1977 at Park Circle Elementary School in North Charleston. The Elementary Schools were 1st through 7th grade. I taught in North Charleston for three years and also traveled to several other schools, s Morningside Middle, Chicora Elementary, Ben Tillman, and Lambs Elementary. Many of these schools no longer exist. In the fall of 1980, I taught at Whitesides Elementary as James B. Edwards was being built. I was excited to start the Physical Education program at JBE the following year and have been here ever since! I am an active member of our professional organization SCAHPERD. |
| COACHING EXPERIENCE In High School, I played football and ran track. In college, I was on the soccer team and we made it to the NCAA finals several years. In 1977, I coached JV football for North Charleston High School and was their Head Track Coach in the spring. I also started coaching the JV soccer team at Porter Gaud in 1977 and coached there for three years. In 1982 I coached the first JV soccer team at Wando High School. During the spring of 1992 I became the Head Track Coach at Wando High School and soon after was coaching the cross country team as well. I am currently coaching both cross country and track at Wando. |
