Unit collections in boxes are available on a variety of topics such as
insects, butterflies, oceans, almanacs and bears.

on tape for classroom
use are also stored in the AV Storage room. Check out a box full!

for classroom use. Our video distribution system allows a video to be shown

Media Production
Equipment
The workroom behind the
media center has Ellison Machine dies, book binding machines and laminators
for teachers to use. Please follow directions carefully to keep our machines
in good working order.
The workroom is not self
cleaning. Please tidy up after yourself.
Computers are available in the
media center for itinerant teachers to check email, etc.

Digital cameras are stored in
my office in the back of the media center. They now have a barcode on them, so
check them out at the circulation desk.

Our Flexible
Schedule
A weekly schedule
of library use is on the circulation desk. Having a flexible schedule allows
multiple use of the library/media center that changes as student and teacher
needs change.
Teachers may bring
their entire class to the library at any time. Younger students usually come
with their classes at the same time each week until they become accustomed to
checking out their own books.
Please send no
more than four students (always with a note, please!) at any one time. The
library is not an alternative to recess, but students with passes may come to
the library to read or check out a book. |
Librarians need care and
feeding
I usually leave
the media center for about 20 minutes for a quick lunch in the middle of the
day. I also leave to help teachers in their classrooms Please instruct your
students to come back to class if I am not there to help them.
