How do students use the library?
|
 |
When can students come to the
library?
- Students
may use the media center before school. They should go to their
classroom first and get a library pass from their teachers.
- Students
come with their class to the library when ever teachers schedule a
visit.
- Students
may also come in individually to use the media center whenever they
need a new book, or other library resources.
How many books may students
check out?
- First
grade and kindergarten students check out one book at a time and may
check out a new book when that book is returned.
- Older
students generally check out two books at a time, but may have more if
they need them
What
happens if we lose a book?
- If
library materials are lost or badly damaged, you will get a bill from
the library with the replacement cost.

| How do we get our funding?
The
media center receives funds from the general operating fund of
Charleston County School District as well as grants from our local PTA.
We
strive to offer an exemplary media program with excellent choices in
reading materials and therefore raise additional funds through Book
Fairs and the Birthday Book Club.
Many
library services are performed by volunteers who generously offer their
time to assist children in the library.
